Photography is used to illustrate books, music and all sorts of diverse products ubiquitous in our world.. We consume many more photographs than words.
I was commissioned for 5 of my vintage archival pictures to be used as the icon images for Georgia’s new album, Seeking Thrills, 2020. The album, released in January, has received great critical acclaim. My pictures, which appear on the cover and the singles are also included in a small booklet inside the vinyl version.
This is the first usage of my work by the music industry. It is very interesting to me to see a new generation’s take on my pictures and possible uses for them.
I was commissioned by Bloomsbury Publishing to be the book’s photographer in 2016.
I worked very closely with the writer to produce images on documenting these activities along with portraits of young people and their families. We worked year around to cover all four seasons.
This book not only emphasises and encourages the importance of children playing in the outdoors, but serves as a very useful seasonal guide to many activities in nature open to everyone.
Over the years I have been asked to make pictures for specific book covers as well as the publishing industry using my past images to illustrate new and re-editioned titles.
